whistler

ok very quick first impressions etc on this free terminal:

1. its like an alpine resort theme park. everything is fancy. they have the same stores as everywhere - but you will see, for example, probably the fancyist looking KFC you have ever set eyes on. even the rocks look as if they have been deliberately placed just so. must be strict bylaws or something.
2. its raining. a lot. we have lift passes for tomorrow so going to have to use them come rain or shine (and i am betting rain). but there are people up there today, and it might be snowing at the top, so will be fun regardless.
3. have a second interview for a rental position at whistler-blackcomb tomo also. the good thing about getting a job there is a season lift pass and cheap staff housing (although there is a waiting list). so fingers crossed.
