coffee
people here seem to get their coffee in thermos mugs that they carry around. apparently its 10c cheaper, and more importantly it saves throwing away a cup. think i'll get one. there are so many starbucks here - a search on the website reveals 87 in vancouver, but could be even more. they literally have them across the road from one another. and then there's the "blendz" and all the other chains and independants - coffee heaven!

OMG!!! Starbucks is NOT coffee heaven! Dude you have to support local cafes and even better if is Fair Trade coffee!
hehehe. yeah i know, i do try to do that when possible, but there dont seem to be that many independants here. i think starbucks coffee might be fair trade actually - although i could be plucking that one...

In the UK starbucks IS coffee heaven. It's the only one that is smoke-free and you can get a flat-white if you know how. (Double Short Latte)
But in NZ I wouldn't go near one.
