happy waitangi day all!
i had a fantastic day. went out boarding with stuart, his ski-instructor flatmate, and his girlfriend. really got pushed - did my first double black stuff (runs are graded - green, blue, black diamond, then double black). beautiful sunny day on the mountain. here's a taster:

a bit of a hike to "flute bowl"
which gave us access to awesome runs
and finished the day with some apres

You should have Grappa too at the end of a skiing day!
coool. when do you do your Papa Muntz qualifiers?
and what the *** has waitangi got to do with this?
I cant stand grappa (sorry, most italian stuff is cool, but grappa is just wrong - quote wikipedia "It was originally made to prevent wastage by using the leftovers at the end of the wine season" - enough said)!
Afraid whistler is already a yuppie "espresso and tofu" resort y! Well, it just happened to be waitangi day yest, which is a national holiday in nz. That's what the beers were in aid of - steinlager is nz made...
